Nestled inside the Mate/Demate Device, work is underway to off-load Orbiter Columbia from atop NASA’s 747 jet transport.
The 75 ton spaceship will be hoisted into an assembly bay and mated with other Space Shuttle elements on a Mobile Launcher Platform.
