Jacobus Kapteyn Telescope Jkt
A 1.0-metre 40-inch reflecting telescope in the Isaac Newton Group at the Observatorio del Roque de los Muchachos, La Palma, Canary Islands. It is operated by the Royal Greenwich Observatory. Observing time is shared by the collaborating countries, which are the UK, Eire, Spain and the Netherlands. It is a specialist telescope for photometry and wide-field photography, and came into operation in 1984.
