Astronomers studying new evidence from the Cassini-Huygens spacecraft believe that Saturns moon Phoebe did not form at Saturn. They think that Phoebe originated in the Kuiper belt, which is filled with comets. They believe that Phoebe was left behind in the solar nebula, the cloud of dust and gas, which formed the planets, and was then captured by Saturns gravitational field.
