Funding Cutbacks Put End to Long-Running Missions |

As a result of funding cutbacks, some of NASA's longest running space programs are scheduled to shut down. Among the programs facing shutdown are Voyagers I and II, which are currently speeding further away from Earth than any other spacecraft. NASA's Earth-Sun System Division budget has been cut by more than $20 million.
