Oil Consumption Increasing |

According to Vital Signs 2005, a Worldwatch Institute report published May 9, 2005, world oil consumption grew by 3.4 percent in 2004, reaching 82.4 millions barrels a day. Nearly half of the increase came from oil consumption by the US and China. The US now consumes 20.5 million barrels of oil a day, while China consumes 6.6 million barrels of oil a day.
