Skylark Rocket Launch Postponed by Wind

Britain’s almost unheard of space programme was to come to a close today with the launch of its Skylark rocket from a site in Sweden; due to have been launched as 6 am (BST) – then postponed until 10 am, it has been announced that the launch will have to wait until tomorrow, April 2 2005 at 6:30 am (BST). A spokesman said, “We are starting countdown at 2am tomorrow morning with a view to launching at 6.30am weather permitting.”
