Astronomers have tracked a spinning neutron star, also called a pulsar. It moves at more than 1000 kilometers a second, the fastest neutron star ever discovered. This neutron star is about 7700 light years away. Its speed and position were found by measuring the radio waves it emits. It was born in a supernova explosion of a giant star in the Constellation Cygnus.
