Space Travel

Earth is currently the only planet in the Solar System with space travellers living there, our off-world escapades began relatively recently in Human history, in the late 1950s. There were many hazardous attempts at space travel, some disastrous and some even fatal – yet there have been some human triumphs in the field of space travel, as well as failures, as can be seen following the earlier missions of the Mercury, Gemini, Vostok, and Soyuz space programmes. Human Beings also sent drones, or unmanned probes, to Venus and Mars during the early years of their space travels.

A permanent base on the Moon is being planned and could be in regular use within the next ten years.
